SUN

In the desert or anywhere, have you seen a shining and bright ball in the sky. Well Yes ,it is the sun. Sun is a star that provides our mother earth and the rest of the planets with light. There are many solar flames that radiate in the sun. There were many names on the sun over the centuries .

Some of the names were, ” soliel” which is a French word,”sol” from the ancient Greeks. However after Germany coined the term “sonne”, the word translated into English be ame “sonne” and later just sun. This information was according to NASA.

HOW WAS THE SUN FoRMED

In a wide expanse of space, gravity drew dust and gas together to create the young Solar System. The sun formed first from the vast material, with the planets close behind…In the centre, the material clumped together to form a protostar that would eventually become the Sun.

WHO DISCOVERED THE SUN

Galelio was the first person to discover the physical details about the individual bodies of the solar system He discovered the moon, that it was cratered and that the sun was marked with sunspots and also that the Jupiter had four satellites in orbit around it .

IMPORTANCE OF SUN

The Sun is the 🌟 at the centre of the solar system.It is by far the most important source of energy source of energy for life on Earth.

MASS OF THE SUN and what it contains

Sun’s mass consists of 73% – hydrogen, 25% – helium and the smaller quantities of heavy elements including oxygen, carbon, neon and iron.

THE SUN’s LIFE SPAN

The Sun’s life is expected to be about 4-5 billion years more. After that our sun is going to erupt and there will be no life on earth.
