My favorite sport

Soccer is my favorite sport, because you can learn to be one of the best players in the world, and the sport is not that complicating, you have to keep control of the ball, dribble well, and you will have a great journey to be a professional.

One of my biggests events of all is the FIFA WORLD CUP, all the countrys face off in one big stage. To be in the world cup, you have to be qualified to be qualified to play. And my favorite countrys are, Argentina, brazil, brazil used to DOMINATE other countrys, Portugal, France, Germany, and Italy.

Another event is the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, it’s just like the world cup, but only the clubs play, clubs are like when mixed up country players are in a team, like my favorite and best teams are, Real Madrid, PSG, Man City, Man united, Arsenal, Barcelona. Those are one of the best teams in the world, so in the Champions League, there are matches that get picked, then all the players come and try to win. And when one team wins, they get as a prize, 3.1 billion euros, that is a lot of money thats why i like it.

Me and my dad go to a nearby soccer field to practice our shooting, skills, passing, and defending. I always come home sweating, that just showes how much i like soccer. There are some kids that come in the morning or afternoon, but they mostly come on weekends because there’s no school on weekends.

That is why i like the sport, there are events you can watch on TV, you can learn from watching players then try out their skills. It’s just so entertaining to watch and play the game, and some of you might ask, yes my favorite player is the GOAT Messi, By the way, thats why i like it, just try playing it, i know when just start playing it, but the more and more you practice, you will become Great at playing the game, guess that the end of my story,I guess i’ll type ya later, Bye

MY FAVORITE COUNTRY

My favorite country is India because i have all my family there, and i and i play with my cousin when i get bored and i have another cousin us 3 people play a lot, and my favorite food in India is Momo’s, because they are spicy and tasty and i have many reasons to tell you why i like them.

Every Friday night we get chicken to eat for dinner. And on Sunday mornings we watch football matches on TV. And sometimes on Saturday we go to our friends house to play Football.

Since I have summer break, I always sleep at 10 o’clock watching a movie, and I usually wake up at 11:30. And I also have another house in a village and I play cricket outside at 6 o’clock and when it is 4 o’clock I go to my friend’s house which is nearby, and until 6 o’clock we play games and stuff like that.

In our village there are a lot of dogs and cats, the ones I know are Simba (dog) , chicku (cat), and Lucy (dog). And there are a lot of festivals in India, every month where I live there are A LOT of festivals that happen, like on the streets, maybe people invite us to a party.

Recently, when I went to India, there was a wedding, and it was celebrated on the top of the roof! But I was not scared, and there was really tasty food. like Chicken, fish, Paneer, and a lot more. When the wedding was over, I was out, I went to bed when we came inside, and I slept like the moon that night.

That’s all about the great things in INDIA.

Hawaii – The Aloha State

The state that I want to visit the most is Hawaii. Hawaii is also known as the Aloha State because it means hello and goodbye in Hawaiian, the language spoken there. Here are some reasons why I want to visit Hawaii.

My first reason is simply that it is beautiful. Hawaii is known for its sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and towering volcanoes. Hawaii’s beaches have different colors of sand like green and white. The water is blue and crystal clear. The dense rainforests in Hawaii are home to many different types of trees and animals. The Hawaiian Islands are the site of some of the most unique and active volcanoes. The Big Island, in particular, is renowned for its volcanoes, including Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes on the planet, and Mauna Loa, which is the largest volcano in size and mass.

My second reason is the unique activities. Hawaii offers a wide range of activities for all ages. You can zipline over green forests and roaring waterfalls or you can take a helicopter ride for a beautiful view of the islands. The waters surrounding Hawaii are perfect for scuba diving, as they are full of marine life.

All in all, it is my dream to visit Hawaii because it is an amazing place.

My favourite sport

My favourite sport is cricket. I love cricket because it is a cool and exciting game played with 11 players on each team. I play cricket every day and it is my passion. In cricket, the bowler throws the ball and the batsman has to hit it. If the bowler hits the wicket, the batsman is out. Similarly, if the fielder catches the ball, the batsman is also out. My favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli, who is an Indian national cricketer and a great batsman. He has also captained the Indian cricket team in the past. The team that scores more runs at the end of the match wins. One day, I hope to become a cricketer and win the World Cup.

The stork and the crab

How many people of you read pancharnarat? Well basically almost everyone. You all most than that they give us a moral lesson and it is interesting also. Fascinated by this I have taken my favorite story from that.

Once upon a time, there lived a stork by the side of a tank. There was plenty of fish in the tank and the stork always had a full meal. As the years passed, the stork grew old and found it difficult to catch fish for food. Sometimes, he would be hungry for days.

The stork thought of a plan. He stood by the tank with a sad look on his face. He did not attempt to catch any fish. The fish, frogs, and crabs in the tank noticed and asked him what the matter was.

Stork: “I have heard that some humans will soon fill this tank and grow crops over it. There will not be any fish left alive. This makes me sad.

The fish were very worried and asked the stork to help them.

Fish 1: “ dear stork please help us. We don’t want to vanish.”

Stork: “ok fine I will”

Fish 3: “how can we trust him like that, it could be a trap set by him”

Fish 2: “aishiss its nothing like that ”

So like that ..

Fish 1: “thank god, I did not get targeted by that stork”

Fish 2: ‘ARE U SAYING THE TRUTH I CANT BELIVE IT.’

Fish 3: ‘I KNEW IT, HE WAS ACTING SO SUS, I MEAN COMMON HOW CAN WE TRUST OUR ENEMY. I WAS TELLING EVERYONE BUT NO ONE LISTENED TO ME.’

Fish 4: ‘Anyway it is all in the past let’s just continue our work’

And just like that the day went on but vowed never to trust their enemy words like that and as for the crab… well let’s just say he was declared a hero of the tank….

The end…….

My Take On Teachers’ Day and Guru Purnima

“Guru Govind dono khade,
Kaake lagu paaye,
Balihari guru aapno,
Govind diyo bataye.”

By the above lines, Sant Kabirdas wants to tell us that when faced with once’s guru and one’s Lord, whose blessings should I seek first? The teacher truly is great, for he showed me that God is greater.

Guru doesn’t mean only a spiritual teacher but any person (living or dead) who can teach your life lessons, he makes you realize the ultimate goal of your life.

Like Sant Meerabai’s guru was Sant Ravidas, Sant Ramananda was guru of Sant Kabir. Narhari das was the guru of Goswami Tulsidas. Yogi Ramakrishna Paramhansa was the guru of Swami Vivekananda. All these gurus and shishyas when they met each other were immensely dedicated and devotional to each other.

In today’s world also we have many gurus, but you are always in doubt about who is genuine and who is a fraud. It seems even if a guru is a fraud, and if he has managed to transform some lives to the right path then for those people, their guru has changed their life. For the gurus’ wrong deeds he would pay for it as Krishna says in Bhagwad Gita that everyone is served according to their karma.

What is Guru Purnima?

According to the Hindu mythology, on this day Lord Shiva, the Adi Guru of the universe, gave the knowledge of Yoga to Saptarishis (the Seven Sages) for the betterment of humanity. This day is celebrated with fervor in North India as it also marks the birth anniversary of Ved Vyas, the author of the Mahabharata.

Teachers’ Day

How did Teachers Day come into this world?

The Day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of India’s first Vice President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was also the second President of India. A symbol of academics and education, Radhakrishnan was a renowned philosopher, statesman as well as a teacher. Dr. Radhakrishnan is remembered for being one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century as well as for introducing western philosophies into Indian society.

When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the President of India, some of his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, on 5 September. He replied,

Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if September 5th is observed as Teachers’ Day. His birthday has since been celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India.

Guru-Shishya Parampara

We can say that today’s knowledge is bookish knowledge. If all the books and study material disappear then we are hardly left with anything to educate the next generation. But on the other hand, think about all the invasions on Bharat. So many invaders who wanted to rule Bharat wanted to destroy our culture and that’s why destroyed hundreds and thousands of our ancient scriptures which were there in Nalanda and Taxila Universities. And killed so many sages and destroyed so many ashrams. But did they succeed in destroying our culture completely? NO. They might have been damaged but the knowledge is still passed on to generations by guru shishya parampara.

Guru-Shishya Parampara is the teacher-disciple tradition. It is the lineage of passing knowledge from a succession of gurus to students through ORAL tradition. So even if the source is destroyed the real knowledge is stored in the guru’s mind.

-> If we try to compare it to today’s time then every year we get a new teacher for different subjects and they stick to the syllabus. They won’t teach us out of the syllabus and if some do try to teach them students might not be interested in that.

-> Guru would always be in search of that one perfect disciple whom he can teach (bless with) all his knowledge. And the disciple will also be in search of his guru. It is a very dedicated and loyal relationship. Whereas nowadays with the emerging tech teachers would always be seen with doubt by the students. Students would want to believe more on google than a teacher. But many things are there that google cannot teach.

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Every tradition has some positive and negative points. So definitely there have to be more positive points in Guru-Shishya parampara for us to cherish the knowledge even after thousands of years. We have been benefitted from yoga, traditional classical music and dance, Ayurveda, and much other ancient knowledge which would have been otherwise destroyed and disappeared.

So can we rely on google completely? No, we need teachers. Teachers and gurus are equally important to us. Teachers help us achieve our goals and enhance our knowledge and gurus to learn life lessons.

Hence, we should celebrate both days with enthusiasm.

Water Is Important In Our Lives

Everyone knows that water has a very important role in our lives. We know water is easily available for us to use. We know it is one of the most essential needs in all living things in order to survive. But, do we really know that you can’t survive without water? Yes, we do, but we often don’t care about it like misusing water.

Let’s see how much percent of the water we can actually use. On Earth, there is 97% saltwater which really limits our options and there is only 3% of freshwater. But out of that 3%, we can only use 1.2% as drinking water because the rest are stuck in glaciers, ice caps, underground, lakes, and rivers. Knowing this, we need to conserve it as the population is rising every day.

Water Uses

Now let’s see how we use our water. Of course, drinking water is one the most important uses of water to survive because on average, a person can survive without water for 3 days only. Other uses include:

  • – Electricity
  • – Agriculture
  • – Domestic uses like cooking, washing clothes, and etc.
  • – Industries like fertilizers
  • – Wildlife

Misuses of Water

As you see there are many uses for water. Since every day the population is increasing, it is important not to waste water. We need to use water the right amount so we don’t run out of water. We sometimes misuse water like when:

  • – Brushing your teeth, and you keep the water running which is wasting two gallons of water per minute.
  • – Other factors include long showers
  • –  Leaky pipes
  •  – Washing dishes while the water is running
  • – Using the dishwasher when it’s not full (You waste about 25 gallons of water).
  • – Loading the laundry when it is not full, and many more.

There are countless ways of wasting water every day but the ones that I listed above are how we are wasting water in our own house. In my personal experience, this has been a huge problem for me. I used to waste many gallons of water like when I played with my friends with water balloons. Then I became aware of this issue as there was a presentation by speakers who came to our school to talk about this. I was truly inspired by them and wanted to contribute as well. I followed their advice and how to reduce the amount of water that we are wasting.

How Can We Help?

As each day is passing by, many other people are trying to make others aware of this issue. We can help too by:

  • – Taking shorter showers
  • – Take baths but a partially filled tub
  • – Turn off the water while brushing your teeth
  • – Only use the dishwasher when it is full
  • – Check for leaks
  • – Plant more trees

As you read of the many uses of water, the number one use of water will always be to drink water. We always need to stay hydrated or else our body temperature will not regulate, organs will not function properly, and many other health conditions. It’s important to drink enough water every day and not wastewater. There are many other people who are not able to access water in many parts of the world.

Water is required to live on Earth. If we do not have water, then human beings, animals, plants, and many other living things will go extinct. Earth will not be the same if there is no water. Even if water is not scarce, we still need to conserve water. Water is essential for all living things. Thank you.

The Bermuda Triangle

I’m pretty sure we all know the infamous Bermuda Triangle. For those who don’t know, Bermuda Triangle is a region in the Atlantic Ocean where a number of airplanes and ships have mysteriously vanished. They enter and are never seen again. What happens to these vehicles and their crews? This mystery has been the subject of many explanations. Paranormal activity is sometimes cited as an explanation. Other people rely on science to provide answers. Let’s take a look at them:

Paranormal Explanations

The Bermuda Triangle is sometimes explained through paranormal activity. Aliens, for instance, use the Triangle as a place to conduct experiments. The water there is said to be haunted by a ghost. Some say that the Bermuda is the gateway which connects the Underworld to the Mortal realm. They tell entertaining stories about sea monsters, vortexes, and magical enchantments. We are attracted to these explanations because they hold our imagination. The unknown has always fascinated humans.

Scientific Explanations

Science is more believable over paranormal explanations, even though paranormal explanations are more colorful. It is most likely (and boring) that human error is behind the Bermuda Triangle mysteries. A pilot or a captain of a ship or an airplane is not a perfect human. We get sleepy. We get lazy. There are times when we get mixed up. With so much traffic passing through the Triangle, some of us are bound to make mistakes.

Besides human error, unpredictable weather also plays a role, according to scientists. Bermuda Triangle storms can quickly gather and be extremely powerful. The Gulf Stream (a strong wind current) has also been cited as a possible cause. It produces a river-like flow of water through the Bermuda Triangle. Floating objects can be carried miles from where they were last seen.

It is also possible that the region is home to large fields of methane hydrates (a form of natural gas). They are located along the ocean floor and produce bubbles that float to the surface. The ships traveling through these areas may be at risk. It is possible for bubbles to sink a ship!’

Body Shaming – Why It Is Wrong

Body-shaming (critiquing yourself or others because of a particular aspect of your appearance) is a vicious circle of judgement and criticism. When one mocks or criticizes someone’s physical appearance they are body shamed.  There are many ways in which body shaming manifests itself, including making a passing comment about your appearance or criticizing someone else’s appearance in front of them.

It is so common for sitcoms to make fun of overweight characters’ bodies. People have become accustomed to criticizing their bodies as a way to bond with their friends – if everyone hates their bodies, this creates a sense of unity and belonging.

When we are upset, annoyed, or intimidated by someone, do we automatically criticize their appearance? When these situations arise, particularly during adolescence and early adulthood, the default defense we often use is “They’re ugly, whatever.” Some people find it more convenient to aim for something that will hurt, like a physical appearance, than to express their emotional state. It is easier to bury underneath the body-shaming comments that rush to our mind when we say, “I am really hurt by how my friend treated me,” or “I am terrified of losing this friendship” when we open up and make ourselves vulnerable.

Body-shaming hurts a person physically or mentally. As a result, people may feel insecure, depressed, and more. Body-shaming is a vicious tool that can be used to hurt individuals. Engaging in such heinous acts is therefore morally wrong.

So, the next time you’d wanna shoot down comments on someone else’s appearance, pause and think about the consequences. Spread love, not hate.

The Princess Who Outwitted Death

Persistence can grind an iron beam down into a needle.” Here’s such a story of Savitri and Satyvan.

Princess Savitri of the Madra Kingdom was as benevolent, brilliant, and bright as the Sun God she was named after. Her grace was known through-out the land, and merchants and powerful princes often flocked the royal palace to seek her hand in marriage. Despite the infinite proposals she received over the years, she did not take an ounce of bit interest in anyone of them. Men often would propose but would lose their nerve upon spectating her blinding splendor. Frustrated, the princess determined to find herself a husband. She wasn’t going to be the next victim of the cruel Fate.

Mounting her golden chariot, she traveled at a fast clip over rolling deserts, glittering cities, and snow-capped mountains rejecting many suitors on her way. Eventually, Savitri ventured into the deep tranquil forest and, amidst the play of dancing stars, she met a man chopping wood. His name was Satyavan, and like her, he loved the forest and the blissful solitude that wrapped itself around it. The princess saw he was not at peace.

After talking for hours, Satyavan told Savitri of his plight. He had been once a prince with wealthy parents who ruled over endless lands until his father had been blinded and overthrown in a violent coup. Now Satyvan worked tirelessly to support their meager new life. His youthfulness had wilted a long time ago, and he had no hopes for the future. His determination and devotion moved the princess. As they gazed into each other’s eyes, Savitri knew she had finally found an equal.

Savitri rushed back to her father to tell him the good news, only to find him conversing with Narada, a traveling sage and the wisest messenger of gods. At first, her father was thrilled to learn of Satyavan, but Narada revealed a tragic prophecy: her betrothed had only a year left to live. Savitri’s blood ran cold. She’d waited for ages to find her partner-was she already doomed to lose him? The princess refused to accept these terms.

Right before Narada, her family, and Savitr himself that she would never marry another. Satyavan was her true love, and their fates were entwined forever. Nobody, even the gods above could separate the two of them. The sky clapped with thunder, and the earth shook. Moved by her powerful words, Narada advised the princess to follow an ancient spiritual regimen. With regular prayers, periods of fasting, and preparation of special herbs and plants, she might be able to prolong Satyavan’s life. Savitri was ready in a heart-beat.

After a simple wedding, the couple returned to the jungle to live in keeping with the sage’s instructions. Life was hard. This modest existence was far away from her lavish upbringing, but her love for Satyavan was deep like the ocean and long as the wind. She wasn’t going to lose him. The couple was happy in one another’s company. A year passed, and the fated day arrived.

On their first anniversary, the sun grew horribly hot burning everything it lay its presence upon. Satyavan’s brow began to burn, and Savitri barely had time to pull him into the shade, before he grew still and cold as the night. His eyes turned foggy, and a ghostly smile lay upon his lips. The earth grew silent only to be filled with Savitri’s sobs. Through her tears, the princess saw an immense figure on the horizon filling the sky. This was Yamraj, the God of Death, come to escort Satyavan’s soul to the afterlife.

But Savitri was not giving up yet. She followed the god for hours in the beating sun. Yamraj thundered at the princess to leave him alone in his peace. But even as her feet bled and her throat burned, Savitri would not turn back. She followed him like a devoted servant. Eventually, Yamraj paused. He would grant Savitri one wish as a reward for her persistence, but she couldn’t ask her for her husband’s life. Without any hesitation, she asked God to restore her blind father-in-law’s eyesight. The wish was granted, and Yamraj moved on. But still, Savitri’s foot-step echoed behind him. Exasperated, God granted her a second wish. This time, Savitri asked for her husband’s kingdom to be restored. Again the wish was granted, and Yamraj began his descent into his subterranean kingdom.

But when he turned his head back, he was astonished to see the bedraggled princess stumbling around. His mouth was dry as a bone. He had never seen such devotion to the dead and honored her dedication with one final fish. Standing cool as a cucumber, the princess asked to be the mother of many children. Yamraj agreed and waved to dismiss her. But the princess only repeated the vow she’d made one year earlier: her fate was forever entwined with Satyavan. How could she bear many children, if Yamraj would not return her husband?

The God smiled knowing Savitri had beaten him to his own game. With Yamraj’s blessing and respect, Satyavan was returned to Savitri and the two walked back to the land of the living, united in a love that not even death could destroy.

Persistence and smartness lead to wonder. Thank you!

The Foolish King

Oftentimes children are told bedtime stories about kings who bravely fought against the forces of evil. While other leaders were honored with statues and temples, King Midas of Phrygia is renowned for his folly. Known as a rogue ruler, his antics amused his people and distracted the gods.

Midas spent his days in a stupor of splendor, spoiling himself and the apple of his eye – his daughter, and gorging down on lavish meals. It was no surprise he looked up to Dionysus – the god of wine, carnival, and performance.

One day, Midas discovered a satyr – a perfect opportunity to win over Dionysus. He was dozing in his rose garden and drunk on more than the scent of flowers. He took in the wasted satyr, and let him nurse his hangover. Pleased with the king’s hospitality, Dionysus offered to grant him a wish. Midas cast a greedy eye over his surroundings. His luxurious lifestyle did not seem to suffice, no matter how many fine jewels, silk, and gorgeous decor he had. Life lacked luster, he thought; he needed more gold in his life.

Midas was gifted with the ability to turn anything he touched into gold. Like a child in a sweet shop, Midas ran towards his palace walls – lo behold, it indeed turned into sparkling gold. At his lightest touch, stone statues shone, and goblet glittered. With wild abandon, he galloped through his home, handling everything until it was polished to a lustrous finish. Soon the palace glistened with his golden touch, and Midas delirious laughter echoed off the walls.

Exhausted after a long day of work, Midas picked up a bunch of grapes from his newly gilded fruit bowl. He almost shattered his teeth as the fruit had turned to metal in his mouth. When he picked up a loaf of bread, the crumbs hardened in his hand. Flinging himself onto his bed in frustration, Midas discovered his plush pillows had morphed into solid gold. “What is happening?!”

Hearing his cries of frustration, his daughter entered the room. Upon reaching out to her, Midas saw with horror that he had frozen her into a golden statue. He let out a cry of despair – his daughter, the most precious to him, was gone?

Midas begged the gods to take his power away for fear of the consequences of what he had done. Dionysus, taking pity on the foolish king, told Midas to wash his hands in the River Pactolus.

Traveling over snow-capped mountains, and rough terrains Midas finally reached the river. Gold oozed from Midas’ fingertips as he reached into the river. Midas returned to his palace and rejoiced to see his daughter safe and sound. That’s how the phrase ‘Midas’s touch’ came to be.

You’d think he would have mended his ways – but, oh boy. Midas was incorrigible – he never learned from his mistakes. Just a few weeks after, he made a Himalayan blunder, insulting the music and sun god Apollo when he declared Pan a greater musician.

Apollo scornfully declared that the king must have the ears of an ass to make such a misjudgment, and transformed Midas accordingly. The foolish king nearly had a heart attack upon seeing his ass ears and begged the god to reverse the curse. Apollo simply refused and rode away.

Once again regretting his behavior, Midas kept his hairy ears hidden in public. They were seen only by his barber, who was sworn to secrecy during a very awkward grooming session. Can you imagine? The barber stifled his laughter and fought the urge to tell someone, yet the secret consumed him.

When he couldn’t take any more, he walked outside the city and dug a hole in the ground. Plunging his head into the earth, the desperate barber whispered, “Midas has ass’s ears.” He was relieved.

Days passed, and a clump of reeds sprang up in the spot where the barber buried his secret. When the wind blew, they carried the echoes of his whisper through the breeze: “Midas has ass’s ears.” Donkeys rose their heads in recognition, and people chuckled at the antics of their king. From that day onwards, Midas was called the king with ass’s ears.

With his golden touch and ass’s ears, King Midas wasn’t the most respected ruler. While other leaders had statues and temples built in their honor, his people remembered him a little differently: in the depths of the glittering river and the rustle of the Phrygian wind. Thank you!

The Importance of Sleep

How many hours of sleep did you get last night? 6? 5? Or, maybe you did not sleep at all last night? Hi. I’m Reneeka Kumar, and today we’ll be looking over the importance of sleep

Grey faces with red, puffy eyes and hands holding cups loaded with caffeine. A modern portrait of today’s youth. Lack of sleep seems to be a plague among the youth. We exist in a constant rush, our schedules overflow with various tasks and responsibilities that demand our attention, and our rest usually ends up as the lowest priority on our lists. Most people do not give two hoots about sleep these days.

Why waste time sleeping when you can do so much, right? Correct me if I’m wrong, but sleep is seen as time wasted. A golden opportunity lost. Some proverbs warn you about being left behind while sleeping. Practically, in every language, we come across. There are idioms such as ‘caught napping’ and ‘burning the midnight oil.’ So, those who want to make something of themselves in life must not sleep.

Studies show that an average adult sleeps for about 6.8 hours a night. In Japan, the national average is 5 hours and 59 minutes, representing a drastically low sleep average. Next on the list is Saudi Arabia with just 6 hours and 8 minutes. India lands 4th with a national average of 6 hours and 20 minutes. These numbers can kill us. We’re treading dangerous waters, my friend.

Now, the question arises: for how many hours do we need to sleep? Science says that an average adult needs to sleep at least 7.5 hours every night. In these 7.5 hours, a person completes five 90-minutes cycles. During these cycles, our brain moves from deep, non-rapid eye movement sleep (Non-REM) to rapid eye movement sleep (REM). The first couple of cycles are dominated by Non-REM sleep. It maintains our body, brain, and heart. The next set of cycles are required for processing and learning information gathered through-out the day.

What are the effects of sleep deprivation? Science has linked poor slumber with a number of health problems such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and diabetes. Over time, lack of sleep and sleep disorders can contribute to the symptoms of depression and anxiety. It also leads to obesity. King’s College London conducted a study in 2016 where they found out that sleep-deprived people consume an average of 385-kilo calories extra per day. You’re dicing with death if you do not act now.

Among teens, sleep deprivation is an epidemic. If you do not get enough sleep, you’re groggy at school. It also makes it hard to concentrate. You know the drill, we all have been there. The most recent national poll conducted across America shows more than 87 percent of U.S. high school students get far less than the recommended eight to 10 hours of sleep each night. As a result, people end up being less productive.

Now that you know that sleep deprivation does more harm than good, what can we do to counter-attack this problem?

  1. Avoid using devices right before bedtime.n Most of us scroll through our devices right before hitting the hay. These devices emit blue light which boosts cortisol production in our body and hampers our sleep.
  2. Drink caffeine only in the morning. The more caffeine in your bloodstream, the harder it will be to sleep. Have a cup of coffee at 8 a.m., and you’ll still have 25 percent of the caffeine in your body at 8 p.m. Anything you drink after noon will still be near 50 percent strength at bedtime.
  3. Wake up at a consistent time. Waking up at the same time every day sets the body into a regular circadian rhythm, and ensures you have better sleep. Teens need 8-10 hours of sleep, while school-children require 9-12 hours.

Our web-series can be paused and late-night conversations can take place in the morning, too. Work, career, and ambitions can take hold. Cause’ you know what, if you don’t sleep, how will we dream?

Dictionary-The Treasure Chest in Our Home

Adventures are fun. Whether we are going to far away places, or in our backyard, we enjoy running around, trying to find treasure.

Unfortunately, now-a-days, we are enclosed in our homes, and our chance of adventure and treasure are at the bare minimum. But I have found a new treasure, which you can find in the grasp of your hand.

Ever heard of a dictionary guys? If you have, good. If not, I am sorry. You have been living in a cave. Okay, a dictionary is a book that can be found in your house. It can vary from a pocket book to an enormous RD Sharma Maths Book. It contains an alphabetical order of words in a Language, say English.

You must be wondering, “How can a dictionary suffice the excitement of an adventure. You are dilutional.” To be fair, am I wrong?

You see, whenever we try to find a treasure, we have to go through some obstacles, like digging through sand or finding the end of a rainbow. Similarly, to find words in a dictionary, we look through each letter in that word to match it to the same word in the dictionary. For example, If we were to find the word ‘Procrastinate’ 1st we take the ‘P’ section of the dictionary, look for the 2nd letter, the 3rd and so on and so forth.

However, what do we do now? Whenever we find an unfamiliar word, we open our phones, browse it in Google, and Voila! The word pops up on your screen. Finding words and its meanings have never been this easy. But, can it recreate the excitement of locating a word in a Traditional Dictionary?

Probably not. Have you ever seen a pirate navigating his ship to treasure with Google Maps? The answer is negative. He/ She look up the sky, pinpointing the stars, to navigate. And, if it is day, he/ she analyzes the directions and ventures into the seas.

Similarly, If we are pirates, and our treasures are words, then we navigate to it, through the Dictionary, and enjoy the knowledge. If we take the shortcut, by browsing through the Internet, we receive the same knowledge, except we lose our sense of excitement and adventure.

I am not saying that Online Dictionaries are inferior to Traditional Dictionaries. But I would say it with certainty, that you will care more for the Treasure Chest of Words, and not keep it in your shelf, never to be seen again.

Mental Health

Mental health is not a destination, but a process. After all it’s about how you drive not where you’re going.”

what is mental health?

Mental health refers to your emotional and psychological well-being. Because, it’s all about how people think, feel, and behave. Peak mental health is about not only avoiding certain conditions but also looking after ongoing wellness and happiness.

effects of mental health

Mental health can affect the daily living, relationships, and physical health of a person. However, this link also works in the other direction. As a result, it also disturbs factors in people’s lives, like interpersonal connections, physical factors which cause mental health disruptions. In the short term, mental health problems can cause people to be alienated from their peers because of perceived unattractive personality traits or behaviors. They can also cause anger, fear, sadness, and helplessness if they do not know or understand what is happening.

what is good mental health?

Good mental health is characterized by a person’s ability to fulfill several key functions and activities. That is to say, the ability to learn, the ability to feel, express, and manage a range of positive and negative emotions, the ability to form and maintain good relationships with others.

Signs of a good mental health:

  • Being confident when faced with new situations or people.
  • Feeling optimistic.
  • You do not always blame yourself.
  • You set goals
  • Feeling good about yourself.
  • Having good self-esteem.

what is poor mental health?

Simply put, this is when our mental health is not what we would want it to be. That is to say, we find it difficult to manage how we think, feel, an act concerning daily stresses could be a sign of poor mental health.

Signs of having a bad mental health:

  • Constantly feeling down.
  • Confused thinking and reduced ability to concentrate.
  • Excessive fears or worries or having an extreme feeling of guilt.
  • Extreme mood changes.
  • Withdrawal from friends or activities.
  • Low energy or problems falling asleep

Taking care of yourself is a very important thing. So think positive and stay healthy

Pressure

Pressure can be defined as a continuous physical force exerted on or against an object by something in contact with it. Thrust is the force acting perpendicularly on any area.

The uses of pressure are various as:

  • Syringes are used to take blood for blood tests. The pressure of the liquid (blood) forces the liquid to move into the syringe when its plunger is withdrawn.
  • When air is sucked out of a drinking straw, the air pressure inside if decreases and the atmospheric pressure outside forces the liquid to go inside the straw.
  • Skis have a large area to reduce the pressure on the snow. This ensures that the skis do not sink into the snow too far.

Unit of thrust = Newton(N)

Pressure(P)= Thrust(f)/Area(A)

Unit of pressure = {Newton(N)/ meter2(m2)} Pascal

                                = Nm-2

                                = dyne/cm2

Other units of pressure are barometric pressure

  • Mm Hg (1 torr) (ii) cm Hg (iii) m Hg

1 atmospheric pressure = 0.76 m of hg column

The calculation of pressure is = Pressure(P)= {(Area*height) density of liquid*Acceleration due to gravity}/Area

= (A*h) d*g/A

=h*d*g

Height of Hg column to measure atmospheric pressure in standard condition = 76 cm of hg

P=hdg

= 0.76*13.6*103*10 Nm-2

Acceleration due to gravity = 9.8ms-2

What height of water will be required to measure atmospheric pressure instead of hg

ANS- H * D(water) * G = 0.76*13.6*103

              = H*D(water)= 0.76*13.6*103

         = H*1000= 0.76*13.6 * 103               (Density of water = 1000 kg m-3)

          = H= 10.336

                        Water                                               30 cm

                          Hg                                               20 cm

                  P

Calculate pressure at P

P= H*d*g

P= (0.3*1000*10) + (0.2*13.6*103*10)

  = (0.3+0.2+13.6) *103*10

  = (0.3+2.72) *103

 = 3.02*103 * 10 Pa

Introduction Speech

Hi, I am Vihaan, I was tossed onto this world in 2011 and landed in U.S.A Denver Colorado, Which makes me 10 now.

As a small kid I liked to play in the snow and with Diecast cars.

One thing that I used to do for fun is a toy truck which holds 39 hotwheel cars in it. I used to sit on it and ride it. It is one thing I have even 10 years down the line.

At that point of time I had only 1 friend, Who lived far away from me so I didn’t visit him that much. Later on I Had more friends.

I Usually go on a trip to India as most of my relative’s live there and now I live in India

My favorite trip was a cruise I went on when I was 4 I hardly remember anything except a monkey made out of cloth and a song they sang to wash our hands called “Washy Washy”

When I went to school I always used to think how big the pickup area is as you can run a marathon over there but not with all the traffic. I studied in that school for 4 years. And 1 year in montessori.

When it was time to move to India and didn’t want to because I lived in the U.S.A for 7 years. I am leaving everything and coming to India. My mom and dad kept telling me in an apartment I would have more friends and I can play more.

I slept most of the flight and I skipped 2 meals.

Later I started making friends just like my mom and dad told me.

My school was just like the one in the U.S.A but I knew most of the stuff in 1st grade so my parents kept me in 2nd!!!!

In a year COVID-19 came and I couldn’t go and play, school etc… But I was still able to meet online but it wasn’t fun. Then I got Minecraft which is good and I am able to have fun playing Minecraft with my friends.

I even completed a whole school year online that too in 5th and I had my graduation yesterday and I am in middle school now!!!!! Today is my first day of the holidays!!

Right now my hobbies are Cubing(Solving a Rubik’s cube), Coding, Playing Tennis and Playing Minecraft

Zodiacs

Leadership, Experience and Opportunity. I’m a Leo and these are a Leo’s motto or at least that’s what I’ve heard. Does your Zodiac sign matter? A lot of people ask what astrology is and what the zodiac signs are about. They also ask whether they can trust what the zodiac signs say about them. Zodiac signs, horoscopes, or Astrology had been topics that created interest among the people. The zodiac is a diagram used by astrologers to represent the positions of the planets 🌎and stars✨. It is divided into twelve sections, each of which has its own name which is expressed below-

Types of zodiacs: The 12 zodiac signs in order are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Aries the Ram, Cancer the crab, Leo the lion, Scorpio the scorpion, Pisces the fish, Aquarius the water bearer, Sagittarius the archer, Libra the scales, Virgo the maiden, Gemini the twins, Taurus the Bull and at last Capricornus the goat, in short Capricorn. Zodiac signs study personality types and their relationships to one another. Even if someone doesn’t fit exactly into their specific zodiac sign, they will usually find themselves matching the description of another sign.

How is it useful to us? Our star sign helps us understand and solve the more difficult questions we all too often face; What is our purpose in this world? How do we best deal with problems? How can I be my best self? Each zodiac sign has something special in them which influences us in our life & on the basis of that, we need all star signs in our life because there is a good thing to learn from each of them, read on to know them. Every person has a purpose in life. I think these studies are legitimate because they dissect personality types and how well they would work together. Analyzing someone’s personality and seeing how it will affect your relationship with them is a great skill to have. The daily horoscopes may be ridiculous but they give pretty good advices. If you’re looking for a horoscope website i suggest the ones which aren’t too detailed and since they tend to give advices instead of detailed predictions which kind of creeps me out not gonna lie.

Are zodiac signs scientifically proven? In some ways astrology may seem scientific. Some people use astrology to generate expectations about future events and people’s personalities, much as scientific ideas generate expectations. And some claim that astrology is supported by evidence, the experiences of people who feel that astrology has worked for them. Astrology focuses on the natural world like I mentioned above, the sun, moon and the planets. Astrology is founded on understanding the positions of the stars, which seems like a scientific enough pursuit in itself. But there isn’t really any science to back up whether astrology impacts our personality and our lives.

If you wanna know which star sign you are, just check the list below and see where your birthday falls:)

Elon Musk – Our Generation Einstein

I am sure most of you have heard of Albert Einstein. He was a genius and one of the smartest people ever. I will talk about the Einstein of our generation. Elon Musk. Elon Reeve Musk is an entrepreneur and business magnate. He is the founder, CEO, and chief engineer at SpaceX; early-stage investor, CEO, and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. As a billionaire, Musk is one of the richest people in the world.

He was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. He is 49 years old. At age 10, Musk developed an interest in computing while using the Commodore VIC-20. He learned computer programming using a manual and, by age 12, sold the code of a BASIC-based video game he created called Blastar to PC and Office Technology magazine for approximately $500. Which is quite a lot for a kid to earn. An awkward and introverted child, Musk was bullied throughout his childhood and was once hospitalized after a group of boys threw him down a flight of stairs. He attended Waterkloof House Preparatory School and Bryanston High School before graduating from Pretoria Boys High School.

He has a net worth of 157.5 billion USD (2021). He briefly attended the University of Pretoria before moving to Canada aged 17 to attend Queen’s University. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania two years later, where he received bachelor’s degrees in economics and physics. He moved to California in 1995 to attend Stanford University but decided instead to pursue a business career, co-founding the web software company Zip2 with his brother Kimbal. The startup was acquired by Compaq for $307 million in 1999. Musk co-founded the online bank X.com that same year, which merged with Confinity in 2000 to form PayPal. The company was bought by eBay in 2002 for $1.5 billion. In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX, an aerospace manufacturer, and space transport services company, of which he is CEO and CTO. In 2001, Musk became involved with the nonprofit Mars Society. He was inspired by plans to place a growth chamber for plants on Mars and discussed funding the project himself.

In 2004, he joined electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors, Inc. (now Tesla, Inc.) as chairman and product architect, becoming its CEO in 2008. In 2006, he helped create SolarCity, a solar energy services company that was later acquired by Tesla and became Tesla Energy. In 2015, he co-founded OpenAI, a nonprofit research company that promotes friendly artificial intelligence. In 2016, he co-founded Neuralink, a neurotechnology company focused on developing brain-computer interfaces and founded.

The Boring Company, a tunnel construction company. Musk has proposed the Hyperloop, a high-speed vactrain transportation system. In early 2017, they began discussions with regulatory bodies and initiated construction of a 30-foot (9.1 m) wide, 50-foot (15 m) long, and 15-foot (4.6 m) deep “test trench” on the premises of SpaceX’s offices as required no permits. A tunnel beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center was completed in early 2021. Local officials have approved further expansions of the tunnel system. All in all Elon Musk is an inspiring and amazing man who changed the world. He is truly the Einstein of our Generation.

Minerals

Quartz, Basalt, Biotite, Marble, Apatite, Fluorite, Granite, Calcite, Galena! What are they? They are minerals, that naturally occur, are inorganic, are solid, have a crystalline structure and definite chemical composition. What does that even mean?

It means:

• Naturally occurring = MADE IN NATURE

• Inorganic = NOT LIVING

• Solid = NOT A LIQUID OR A GAS

• Crystalline structure = A UNIQUE ARRANGEMENT OF ATOMS

• Definite chemical formula = ALWAYS MADE UP OF THE SAME ELEMENTS

What about Coal? Is, Coal a Mineral. No!, because it is made from the remains of LIVING things, it is not inorganic. But, what about Halite (Salt), is that a mineral. Yes!, it checks all the five points.

How do you Identify a Mineral?

All the minerals have physical properties. The main physical properties are:

  • COLOR: It is not a best way to identify minerals because gravity, air, and water can change the color. Also, some minerals are same colors.
  • LUSTER: It is the way the surface reflects light. There are three types Metallic which is bright and reflective, Sub metallic which is dull, reflective and Nonmetallic which is anything not in the other categories.
  • STREAK: Color of a mineral’s powdered form, is obtained by rubbing the mineral against a streak plate (Unglazed porcelain).
  • CLEAVAGE OR FRACTURE: The way a mineral breaks. CLEAVAGE is a breakage along smooth, flat surface. FRACTURE is breakage unevenly along curved or irregular surfaces.
  • HARDNESS: Mineral’s resistance to being scratched; use Moh’s hardness scale to test hardness. 1 is the softest while 10 is the hardest.

There are also Special Properties:

  • FLUORESCENCE: Ability to glow under an ultraviolet light.
  • MAGNETISM: Minerals that are natural magnets.
  • CHEMICAL REACTIONS: Minerals will bubble or fizz when in contact with a weak acid.
  • TASTE: Some minerals have a specific taste. For example- Halite has a salty taste.

How the earth was formed

HOW THE EARTH WAS FORMED

once I was preparing for my science exam it had the lesson solar system when I was studying the earth topic it got me thinking how did the earth form, then after my exam I started to learn how did the earth form , now i have gathered all my information and i would like to share it with you now

The earth wasn’t formed by aliens of just popped out of nowhere When the solar system settled into its current layout about 4.5 billion years ago. Earth was formed when gravity pulled swirling gas and dust in to become the third planet from the sun. Like its fellow planets it has a central core, a rocky mantle and a solid crust. When earth was first formed it didn’t look like the earth we see today it was full of volcanoes, lava and rocks.

Fun fact-The earth is estimated to be 4.54 billion years old plus or minus 50 million years

Fork VS Chopsticks!!!

While looking for ideas for blogs, My Mother called me for dinner. We were having Noodles. So, I went to the kitchen to get myself a Fork, while my sister wanted to use Chopsticks. ‘Hmm?’ I thought. ‘Why don’t I write about which is better?, Fork or Chopsticks?’

This thought came to me last year, but today, that idea came to me again. Before I forget about it, (again) let me lay down the Pros and Cons of both.

First up;  The Fork!

Pros- 1. One piece

          2. Easy to hold

          3. Can pierce meats and veggies very well.

          4. Comes in many sizes and variations (Color, shape and material)

          5. Everyone knows how to use it.

Cons- 1. Is considered as a weapon in many parts of the                                   world.

                2. May get hurt using them.

                3. No health benefits from forks.

                4. Eats more due to fast grabbing.

                5. Is not appreciated to use forks in countries like Japan and Korea.

Next up; Chopsticks!

Pros- 1. Easy to use chopsticks to grab things, like rice, peas,                      tomatoes, etc.

               2. Can show off to friends and relatives.

               3. It is like exercising your brain and hands when using chopsticks.

               4. A good skill to know if travelling to Japan, Korea, China, etc.

              5. Because of it’s blunt ends, they are not used for stabbing, which is                considered rude in some countries.

Cons- 1. Pretty hard to learn and master using chopsticks.

                2. Takes time to finish eating.

                3. If you break your fingers, they are really hard to use.

                4. Many chopsticks are thrown after use, which is bad.

                5. Hard to grip onto round, circular things.

Well, what do you think? Will you change your go-to utensil for Noodles next time? Or would you stick on to your choice?

That is for ‘You’ to choose, and for ‘Me’ to;

EAT NOODLES!!!

Unity In Diversity!

Hey Guys, It’s me. Maybe by now, you all must have already known my topic, so let’s get started. But before that, I have one quick question. How do u think our culture is different from other states? (Hint: I am talking about the Indian States!)

Well, Of Course, we differ in our religion, clothing, language, festivals, etc. We may be different in many ways but we are ultimately humans. You must have heard that India is called a Diverse Country. Let me tell what is the reason behind this through a story –

Once upon a time, there lived two neighbors in a happy cheerful kingdom. Their names were Raafta and Ram. One neighbor was Muslim and the other was Hindu. There were not just neighbors but also very close friends. They would go to work together, eat together in short, they did everything together. Many days passed in happiness, but one evening on EID raaftar was sad because he did not have anyone celebrate this time. His old parents lived far away and even his sister. While in deep thought, a small boy came and said that his neighbor is invited u to dinner. He was puzzled and thought why he has called me on a such day? When he reached, to his surprise. Wait, I won’t tell you further I want u all to guess what could have happened there that made raaftar shocked?

Well yes, He was shocked because in that room there was a variety of food laid on the table and along with that his parents and his sister were there! Raaftar was in tears after so long he was meeting his parents and his sister, after all. He thanked ram for bringing his parents and his sister. After a heartful dinner, He asked ram, why did he do this for him? Ram said He wanted to do something good so people from outside counties can understand “We may be different in culture but we are born by the same god, same land we are united in diversity.”

So, you see, we may be different in religion, but we can still be friends if we remove our religion aside for one day at least, we can see the true colors of the rainbow. Rainbow of Unity in Diversity.

Hestia-The Hearth of Olympus

When I say the words ‘Greek gods’, the first thing that may come in your mind are the Olympians. The Olympians are 12 Greek gods and goddesses, from Zeus to Dionysus. But did you know that there are 2 more major gods?

Yes. Though they are not part of the 12, Hades and Hestia were very important deities, maybe even more powerful than Zeus. Okay, you might know Hades, God of the Underworld, Eldest son of Kronos and Rhea, etc. But, have you even heard about Hestia? No? Well here I am to fill you in on the First and Last Olympian.

Hestia was the Greek goddess of the Hearth, Home, Family and Fire. She was the Eldest child of Kronos and Rhea. Unfortunately, her life was not, ‘bright’, I guess? Basically, the day she was born, her father gobbled her up because he missed breakfast. Just kidding! Kronos felt threatened by his infant daughter. So he swallowed her whole, leaving her trapped in the stomach of Mighty Kronos.

Soon, her siblings joined her later, until her younger brother, Zeus saved them by making Kronos vomit them out. DISGUSTING!!!

So, anyway as the first person that was swallowed, she was at the last in line for release. That caused her to be the youngest sibling, according to Zeus. (Wanted to be the King) That is why she is called ‘The First and Last Olympian’.

If I had to talk about her, she was like ‘Fire’. If you treated her well, respected her, gave her offerings and helped people in need, she would be like a campfire, all happy and cozy. But, make her mad and you will be ashes. Gulp*

Moving on, her symbols of Godhood were the hearth, fire and the Donkey. She was the ‘Gentlest’ of the gods, was so kind to leave her throne for Dionysus, the Wine God and had no children as she was a sworn Maiden.

Not many stories were written about Hestia, but I can tell you one thing she would agree with, is that;

Never Underestimate the 'Hearth of Olympus'

Silence is the key to success.

Have you ever succeded with silence? No? Then listen this story. Once upon a time, there lived a normal boy whose dream was to become a professional in playing guitar. He used to practice at least 2 hours a day. He sits in a room with silence, he does not even turn the fan and practice! His hard work showed him his way, one day when he was attending a Trinity exam, he got 100% when he was attending the last grade of the guitar exam! Everyone was shocked by this and the grand master of guitar invited him to join his coaching center.
Friends, this is called as Silence is the key to success

Why should you not wear uniforms?

Have you ever been in school with same clothes every day? School
uniforms are the reason why everyone looks the same. I think schools should not
have school uniforms.

In my opinion school uniforms don’t give options or choices. For example, You may argue that school uniforms don’t allow you to express yourself. I would say uniforms are bland and don’t allow us to choose from a variety.

Another reason is uniforms promote outdated gender. For example,
all girls don’t want with skirts boost don’t want to wear shorts. Students need
to wear clothes that are comfortable to them, to help them study properly. They
might feel this clothes are too tight, or too short, or too droopy. They need
to choose what they like to wear.

Finally, students need to be individual. For example, You
get lumped in with the rest of your classmates or friends in uniforms. Students
need to express themselves in a unique way not everyone looking the same.

Overall, that’s why I think you should not wear uniform.

Will we be able to ever “Fully Recover” from the coronavirus?

We all are certain that the coronavirus is something that will go down in our history books. But will it continue even after we get the vaccines?

The amount of vaccines being made and shipped is extremely fast. Most doctors, nurses, teachers, and elderly are able to take it. Soon everyone will have access to the vaccine. But the vaccine does not solve the majority of our problems. We must note that the vaccine only prevents serious illness and death. People can still get the virus and also transmit it to others. Another thing we don’t know is how long the affects of the vaccine will work. It may end up becoming a yearly flu shot. Or we may never have to take it again. Though this is very unlikely.

It seems like this virus will stay for good, however I feel like people will quickly learn to adapt. Once herd immunity develops and the death cases slow down due to the vaccine, we may be able to return back to normal. It will still take a few years though. Meanwhile we can keep sanitized, wear masks, and maintain all safety precautions.

We can reopen schools with students wearing masks or even have some classes on zoom. Malls and amusement parks can open with a limited amount of people who are wearing masks. Travel can resume, and test sites should be easily available. These are some ways we can safely reopen.

Keep in mind these are my opinions and this may not happen! After doing quite a bit of research I put together the best way to summarize the Covid-19 situation in this blog. Regardless of when it will end it has taken 2.5 million lives and 113 million have been affected. I hope everyone stays inside and stays safe.

Thank you,

Nitika

my cheerful covid days

oof everyday washing your hands wearing a mask sanitizing everything isnt it a very big torture but guys any bad thing happens in life look at it from a new perspective we have just seen that it is a big torture but how much it has helped us it is alot taught us new things u have to agree now many people in our class live not in Banglore yet we are able to do this class right and in this class we have got our fears and emotions of us learned how to talk to people in my case i learnt so many things which i don’t think i could have learnt if covid was not there . i found new version of my self i never knew i could be a poet but sitting at home made me one . i learnt how to play different types of instrument’s learnt how to cook and learn about animals and etc i made new friends but the most important thing we all learnt is to be with our family . we would not have got 24/7 to be with them in my case my dad use to go to office at six cause it was far 7 : 30 i use to go to school my mom use to go to office after i went and came back at 7 so did my dad and they were always tired and so were we but now we are always together which make us so happy but the best thing for me is the i got irritate my sister all day long we have also spent and helped mother nature before i had 5 to 6 plant but now i have 15 or 16 we have helped the lakes also cause there was less pujas and less pollution but there is one thing we all learnt and it is very important any dark time come in your life {covid} try to light the the inflammables means look at the bad things from a new perspective like today i told u if i wouldn’t have seen covid like this i would be so depressed actually al of us would . so friends anything in our way we dont brake find another way around it

The Myth of the Trickster Raccoon

Here is a story on The Myth Of The Magic Racoon.

On the dusty roads of a small village, a travelling salesman was having difficulty selling his wares. He had recently traversed the region just a few weeks ago, and most of the villagers had already seen his supply. So he wandered the outskirts of the town in the hopes of finding some new customers. Unfortunately, the road was largely deserted, and the salesman was about to turn back, when he heard a high pitched yelp coming from the edge of the forest. Following the screams to their source, he discovered a trapped tanuki. While these racoon like creatures were known for their wily ways, this one appeared terrified and powerless.

The salesman freed the struggling creature, but before he could tend to its wounds, it bolted into the undergrowth. The next day he set off on his usual route. As he trudged along, he spotted a discarded tea kettle. It was rusty and old but perhaps he could sell it the local monks. The salesman polished it until it sparkled and shone. He carried the kettle to Morn-Ji Temple and presented it to the solemn monks. His timing was perfect they were in need of a large kettle for an important service, and purchased his pot for a handsome price. To open the ceremony, they began to pour cups of tea for each monk but the kettle cooled too quickly. It had to be reheated often throughout the long service, and when it was hot it seemed to squirm in the pourer’s hand. By the end of the ceremony, the monks felt cheated by their purchase, and called for the salesman to return and explain himself.

The following morning, the salesman examined the pot, but he couldn’t find anything unusual about it. Hoping a cup of tea would help them think, they set the kettle on the fire. Within moments, the metal began to sweat. Suddenly, it sprouted a scrubby tail, furry paws and a pointed nose. With a yelp, the salesman recognized the tanuki he’d freed. The salesman was shocked. He’d heard tales of shape shifting tanuki who transformed by pulling on their tails. But they were usually troublesome tricksters, who played embarrassing pranks on travellers, or made it rain money that later dissolved into leaves. Some people even place tanuki statues outside their home and businesses to trick potential pranksters into taking their antics elsewhere. However, this tanuki only smiled sweetly. Why had he chosen this unsuspecting form? The tanuki explained that he wanted to repay the salesman’s kindness. However he had grown too hot as a tea kettle, and didn’t like being burned, scrubbed, or polished. The monk and the salesman laughed, both impressed by this honourable trickster. From that day on, the tanuki became an esteemed guest of the temple. He could frequently be found telling tales or performing tricks that amused even the most serious monks. Villagers came from far away to see the temple tanuki, and the salesman visited often to share tea made from an entirely normal kettle.

Thank You

The role of a Therapist

The role of a therapist in life is very important. They help with body and mind problems. They help patients dealing with different issues, such as mental issues, physical issues, and body issues. Therapists meet with patients regularly to help them cope with different issues they are struggling with. They advise the patient’s family members, relatives, and friends on what they can do to help the patients cope with their problems. For example, a patient might be struggling with a particular phobia or habit they need to get rid of as quickly as possible. Therapists can help with that. But how do they do it? Well, there many different strategies therapists can do to fix a patient’s problem. Assessments are one of them. Now, by an assessment, I don’t mean a math assessment or something like that, by assessment I mean a protocol assessment. These types of assessments are way different than school-based assessments. These assessments are used to see what level the patients are at right now. A therapist might show pictures and ask the patients to tell them what they see. This can also help the therapists understand what the patients are coping with and how they can help them. Although a therapist’s job seems pretty simple there are some required skills therapists must-have. Having the skill of communicating well is a mandatory skill. Talking to patients in a way they can understand you is very important.

Being a communicative person can help patients with what they are coping with. Another skill that is extremely important is time-management. You and your patient have to agree on which day and time will work for you and them. So prioritizing tasks and managing time plays a strong role in therapy. Listening and connecting with patients is another important skill to have. Patients need to vent out and they need a person they can trust to tell them how they are feeling and what they want to do so their problem can be fixed. And although it might seem pretty simple, it’s not. A patient needs to get someone’s trust so they can feel healthy and happy instead of troubled and miserable. A therapist needs to be positive and optimistic so their patients can feel the same way and maybe even better. And although a therapist might go through some obstacles they know their changing lives.

Color Blindness

Imagine yourself on a rainy day. How boring. The grey and dull colors makes us sigh. Suddenly, the rain stops. “Finally!”, may be your reaction. Just then, the sun shines yet again to form a beautiful rainbow. The colors are back in the sky and you break into a wide grin.

Color is a very important prospect in our lives. The world is filled with wonderful shades of green, blue, red, yellow, and many more. Unfortunately, while many of us enjoy the colors, some of us don’t.

When is comes to color blindness, it is a inability of seeing some colors than the other. For example, people with Protanopia (red-green color blindness) tend to have an issue with seeing red and green shades of colors.

There are mainly 3 types of color blindness -:

1. Red-green color blindness/Protanopia (Most common)

2. Blue-yellow color blindness/Tritanopia (Less common)

3. Complete color blindness/Monochromacy (Uncommon)

By reading all of this, if you have some difficulty identifying some colors, just test yourself first, then if you are about 75% sure, go to a doctor for genuine tests. If you are 100% sure, (thanks to the doctor), just brush it off.

This may sound as the worst advice you have heard, but you can’t sulk about it. When life turns it’s back on you, you turn your back on it. There is no known cure for color blindness, but there are contact lenses and glasses that help you in your daily life. Moreover, think yourself as a unique guy/girl, having superpowers.

It might be a little hard to identify colors and to enjoy it like the others, but this is your life and your sight. Whatever you see is what others see too, because,

We Are One!!

Fencing

I will be telling you about fencing. Now you may be thinking what is fencing? Fencing is a sport it is essentially sword fighting. There are 3 disciplines foil, epee, and saber. They all have different blades and rules. Hopefully, by the end of this, you will understand the basics of fencing. The goal of fencing is to hit your opponent in the target area while trying to block your opponent’s attack. If you hit the target area then you get a point. The highest score at the end of time wins. Another thing that you should know is the right of way. If both fencers hit each other at the same time then whoever is in an attacking position first or fights more aggressively gets the point. Now I will talk about the three disciplines in fencing.

Foil is the most common and technical discipline in fencing. The foil sword is the lightest and smallest. For foil, the target area is the chest and back. You have to attack your opponent with the point of your blade when you hit with the side of the blade it does not count. In this right of way counts.

The saber is the fastest of the disciplines. The blade for this is slightly smaller than the foil and the handle is different. The right of way goes in this. For this, the target area is anywhere above the waist. It is the only discipline in which you can cut or slash with the side of your blade.

Next is the epee. In comparison to saber, the epee is slow it is the slowest of the disciplines. The epee blade is the biggest and heaviest blade. The target area is the entire body. Like foil, you must use the tip of your tip to attack. But unlike foil and saber epee does not have right of way. So, if the fencers touch each other at the same time they would both get the point.

In fencing, there are a couple of rules. You can not step off the piste which is the rectangle-shaped platform fencing is played on. You can also not turn your back on the opponent. This is because the back of the head is not covered and if a sword hits that area it would hurt. Next, you can not use your nonplaying hand because it would hurt if the blade hit your hand. A yellow card is a warning a red card means that the opponent is awarded a point a black card means you have been disqualified. On rare occasions, neither fencer attacks the referee will stop the game.

All in all, fencing is an amazing sport

Covid-19 Vaccine

As all of us are fighting the coronavirus pandemic hope is coming. A vaccine has been developed for this sickness but many questions remain about this vaccine. “Will it work?”Should we take” “Are other people going to take it?”. I will try to answer these questions but before I answer let me tell you what the coronavirus is.

First of all the coronavirus is an infectious disease.  COVID-19, ‘CO’ stands for ‘corona,’ ‘VI’ for ‘virus,’ and ‘D’ for disease. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses.

Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face. The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into your elbow).

Now let us go back to the topic of the coronavirus vaccine. Everyone is hoping this vaccine will save thousands of lives. Ever since the pandemic started people have been urging for a vaccine. Now many companies have delivered this. Some companies are AstraZeneca, Fizer, Moderna, Bion tech. Their success is a scientific feat with few parallels. No vaccine has ever been developed so quickly, never mind manufactured for the world.

There a few types of vaccines but I wil only talk about two of the vaccines types. The are two types of vaccine traditional and mrna. The main goal of a vaccine for a particular infectious agent, such as the virus that causes COVID-19, is to teach the immune system what that virus looks like. Once educated, the immune system will vigorously attack the actual virus, if it ever enters the body.

.The traditional method that delivers viral fragments — either the dead husk of a virus or its disembodied proteins. These viral fragments can’t replicate and cause infection, but they do trigger an immune response.

Messenger RNA, or mRNA, is at the heart of both leading vaccine candidates, one from Moderna and the other from Pfizer and partner BioNTech. The companies’ clinical trial data suggest these vaccines are about 95% effective. mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine to protect against infectious diseases.

To trigger an immune response, many vaccines put a weakened or inactivated germ into our bodies. Not mRNA vaccines. Instead, they teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies. That immune response, which produces antibodies, is what protects us from getting infected if the real virus enters our bodies.

Both types of vaccines are okay to take. The traditional type of vaccine is slightly slower to produce and may require booster shots. But it’s a tried-and-tested approach. Although the mRNA vaccines can be designed quickly, people might develop immunity to the viral vector itself, limiting the ability to give multiple booster shots.  First, Frontline essential workers such as fire fighters, police officers will get the vaccine, then People aged 75 years and older, then, People aged 75 years and older, People aged 16—64 years with underlying medical conditions, finally Other essential workers, such as people who work in transportation and logistics, food service, housing construction and finance, information technology, communications, energy, law, media, public safety, and public health.

All COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the United States have been shown to be highly effective at preventing COVID-19 But ultimately all these decisions are up to you. Whether you want the vaccine or Which vaccine to take. This vaccine is a dose of hope that can light the way through these dark times.

The World of Fun

What is fun in your life? I am talking about a place that has food areas. It has rides like roller coasters and others. If you guessed amusement parks you were correct. Have you ever been to an amusement park? In my opinion amusement parks are probably the most fun way to have fun. Now I will tell you all about amusement parks.

First, let’s talk about amusement parks themselves. Amusement parks have been there for many many years. In fact, the oldest amusement park was made in 1583 which is 500 years ago! Sadly that amusement park is not there anymore. The oldest amusement park that is still running is Lake Coumounce which was made in 1846. The biggest amusement park of all is Walt Disney World. It is located in Florida, US. About 50 million people visit it every year! It contains 24 hotels, 4 golf courses, and 6 theme/water parks!

Now let’s talk about roller coasters. Roller coasters have also been there for a long time. The first roller coaster was built in 1884. It was very slow as it only goes 6 miles per hour. It was in Brooklyn, New York and it costed a nickel to ride it.

Now I will tell about the fastest roller coaster, slowest roller coaster, steepest rollercoaster, and many more. First lets start with the fastest. The fastest roller coaster is a ride called the formula rossa in Ferarri World in Abu Dhabi. It is so fast that it goes 150 mils per hour. That is double than the speed that a car goes on a freeway! It is so fast that to protect your eyes, you need to wear goggles! The smallest roller coaster is a roller coaster near Oslo Norway with the name of Dvergbanen. It just 26 meters in length and height of 2.5 meters. The longest roller coaster is in Kuwana, Japan and is 1.54 miles (2.48 km). The name is Steel Dragon 2000 and it takes 4 whole minutes to ride it once! I hope you have your lungs ready to scream for that long! The roller coaster with the steepest drop is in Yamananashi in Japan. It goes by the name Takabisha and it goes to 121 degrees!

You have got to give credit to Kingda Ka as it is the tallest roller coaster. It goes up to 456 feet and is also the second fastest roller coaster in the world. This ride is in New Jersey, USA. That is all the different records of roller coasters

Did u learn anything about roller coasters and amusment parks? I sure did. There is so many things about roller coasters and amusment parks I want to know. This helped me learn a few of my questions. I hope u learned alot about roller coasters and Amusement parks.

Should Truman Have drop an atomic bomb on Japan

Was Truman right to do what he did? Did he make the right choice? I think Truman made the right choice of dropping the atomic bomb on Japan.

In my opinion Truman made the right choice because it saved a lot of American lives. According to the text “ In his 1955 memoirs, Truman strongly believes dropping the bomb saved half a million American lives.  ”. Dropping the atomic bomb was the best thing to do instead of risking a lot of American lives.

Another reason is that Japan attacked the Pearl Harbor an American Naval Base on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. The text says, “ In the surprise attack, Japan sunk several ships, destroyed hundreds of planes and ended thousands of lives. The Japanese goal was to cripple the U.S. Pacific fleet, and they nearly succeeded. ”.  Think if they attacked are naval base, then we need to attack theirs in Hiroshima to take revenge.

Finally, Germany surrendered on May 7 and in the east on May 9, 1945 to America and its Allies France, Great Britain, the Soviet Union or now called Russia. But Germany’s Allie Japan did not wan to surrender. So, Truman thought of something really destructive to destroy everything & end World War 2. According to the texts “  At 8:15 am Hiroshima time, “Little Boy” was dropped. The result was approximately 80,000 deaths in just the first few minutes. Thousands died later from radiation sickness. On August 9, 1945, another bomber was in route to Japan, only this time they were heading for Nagasaki with “Fat Man,” another atomic bomb. After the first minute of dropping “Fat Man,” 39,000 men, women and children were killed. 25,000 more were injured. Both cities were leveled from the bombs and this, in turn, forced Japan to surrender to the United States.“

As you can see, Truman made the right choice of dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki cites in Japan. Overall, that’s why I think, Truman made the right choice of dropping the atomic bomb.

Importance of Education

Importance of Education

When I say education in this case, I mean school. School is often characterized as a large source of stress and misery for kids. Every school day, they have to wake up early in the morning, ride on a bus, spend several hours doing working, or take tests on that work, with a half-hour lunch break in between. Then they have to ride the bus home and spend some more time doing homework for school. This makes kids dislike school quite a lot. This causes them to ask questions like, “Why do I need to write essays?”, or “Why do I need to know what y=mx+b means?”. But school is important. It is vital for both individuals and society as a whole that people are educated.

First of all, education is extremely important for the individual.  Most of the stuff that we learn in school tend to be prerequisites for certain degrees in college. High school level math is often a prerequisite for college-level math, which is required for most STEM degrees. Getting a good STEM degree can allow people to have lucrative jobs. But any degree builds on the education that we received in school, one way or another. We also need education in order to understand most things about the government. The chart below shows the vocabulary and grammatical level of the speeches of several candidates for US president.

With the exception of Donald Trump’s speech, all of these speeches are at a high school reading level. If someone didn’t go to school and they only know how to read and write at a basic level, they’re going to have a really hard time understanding what these candidates are saying. If they do “understand” it, they’re most likely going to misinterpret it and vote against their own interests. According to an article from the National Center of Biology Information, people who are less educated are more likely to believe conspiracy theories. This can have really adverse consequences for the individual. Look at the people who attacked the US Capitol because they believed that Trump’s election was a fraud. People, who otherwise might have been reasonable, literally turned to terrorism because they believed in a conspiracy theory Education also makes people much less likely to be poor. The chart below from the Federal Bureau of Labour perfectly explains this.Workers without high school diplomas only earned 62% as much money as workers with high school diplomas. Workers with a Bachelors’s degree over 50% more than workers with just a high school diploma. There are more details in the chart. But the idea is that income correlates heavily with the level of education that one receives. People who are poorer are much more likely to be incarcerated. Adults in poverty are three times as likely to be put in jail as everybody else. In conclusion for this portion, more education leads to more income which leads to less poverty and lower willingness to commit crimes.

Educating our citizens also really helps society as a whole. This ties heavily with the first portion. Societies with less crime and less poverty tend to be better for everyone. Societies with lower education rates tend to deteriorate pretty quickly. The Ottoman Empire, for example, failed to educate its citizens. The literacy rate of the empire never went above 15%. This caused them to have a shortage of skilled workers. When the Industrial Revolution happened in Europe, the Ottomans simply didn’t have enough skilled workers to be able to build factories and machines, causing them to be unable to compete with the other European empires, ultimately leading to their demise.  Note that lack of education was not the only factor in their collapse, and maybe was eclipsed by them losing WW1. But it played a big part. Conversely, when education became the norm in western countries, we saw a lot of advancements in technology such as steam engines, the telegraph, the automobile, and more. Overall, education allows society to be stable and advance, but lack of education can cause instability and for society to crumble.

As you can see, education is very important. It not only can uplift individuals and keep them out of poverty, but it also allows society to function properly. Without education, society, as we have it today, would be impossible.

No Pain, No Gain

Have you ever thought what Benjamin Franklin thought when he flew a kite during thunder, with a metal key tied to it? Everyone thought he was crazy and was going to be hurt, but he knew that if he succeeded, he would have invented electricity.

Like him, there are many other cases where people have to endure pain to gain something. We can’t achieve anything without hardships and struggle. One has to go through some pain to reach the specific target.

Like, if one wants a healthy body, he/she must earn it by going through the pain of the exercise. If one wants to eat, there needs to be some work done in the form of cooking. If one wants to live in luxury, he/she needs to work and earn it.

Success is always achieved when you work towards it, and prayers alone cannot help you make it. Moreover, the things which come in your life without any pain or struggle will go back instantly without giving you the proper benefits.

So everyone should work hard and never lose hope. Otherwise, you will not be able to survive in this world.

Thank You!!

The History of New Year Resolutions

A New Year starts with a New Resolution. As we are coming to the end of 2020,I decided to look into the History of New Year Resolution. So, buckle up! We are going about 4000 years back!

The ancient Babylonians are said to be the 1st people to make resolution during New Years. Back then in Babylon, a year started by mid-March, when crops were planted. During this time, The people choose new kings, repay debts and return borrowed things.

A similar thing was going on in Rome, when Emperor Julius Caesar was king. He established January 1 as the beginning of a New Year. Ancient Romans used to offer sacrifices to Janus, the 2 faced God.

Even the early Christians used to have resolutions. They used to wish to be better than the past year. They also had New Year Eve and watch night services. People would stay till midnight in church to begin the New Year in prayer.

This year, We are not able to celebrate New Year like this, but At least, lets begin 2021 with a fresh resolution!!

Daedalus-An Example of Pride and Fall

“Oh my wings! See my two wings!”

These were probably the last words of Icarus, the son of the proud craftsman, Daedalus.

Wait! You must be thinking,”What is all this story of wings, last words, Icarus?” Well, my friends, let us go back in time to understand the story of wings.

Once upon a time, there lived a proud architect named Daedalus. He was so proud of himself that he pushed his own nephew from his balcony for being a good craftsman like his uncle. He was SO stupidly proud of himself that he thought that with his skills, he was above all Gods. Little did he knew what was in store for him.

One day, King Minos of Crete invited him to his kingdom for a task. The King wanted to build a palace with a very difficult maze (The Labyrinth) under it in which the Minotaur could be imprisoned (The Minotaur was a monster with the head of a bull and a human body).

Daedalus brought his son, Icarus, with him. They lived on Crete until the maze and palace were complete. Daedalus went to the king and told him he wanted to leave the island. Minos was furious. He told Daedalus that he would never leave the island.

Daedalus and his son, Icarus were now trapped on the island. There, his crafty brain worked hard for a way to escape. He decided that he would make wings out of wax and feathers and he and Icarus would fly back to the mainland.

Now, lets take a break. Here, Daedalus is showing his pride. Back in the day, the Gods did not like it when humans tried to act like them by overcoming their mortal limits. In ancient Greek culture, acting like a God was called ‘hubris’, and it was often severely punished. As flying was a ‘Gods Only Right’, Daedalus was a ‘hubris’.

Now, back to the story. Daedalus told Icarus to collect all the feathers he could. The glued them onto two frames with wax. Daedalus and Icarus went to the top of a cliff and strapped on the wings. Before they flew off the mountain, Daedalus warned Icarus of two things, 1. No going near the Sun, and 2. No going near the sea.

They ran towards the edge of the cliff and flapped their wings. They flew! Daedalus has done the impossible! Alas! This angered the Gods!

Icarus was beaming with happiness and pride and began to fly higher and higher. “Remember what I said. Don’t fly too close to the sun,” Daedalus shouted after Icarus. Unfortunately, it was too late. The wax began to melt. Icarus flapped his wings madly but the feathers began to fall off his wings. He fell into the sea and drowned! Daedalus was heart broken.

With great sorrow and humbleness, Daedalus reached Sicily (Holy city of Apollo) and built a temple for Apollo. Here, Daedalus didn’t reach Sicily by accident, rather he understood his folly and built he temple for The Sun God, the cause of Icarus’ demise, accepting his inferiority.

Now, if you have read the entire story carefully, you would notice that in Daedalus’ life, he had caused the fall of two young men, one being his nephew, and the other, his son Icarus. But the difference between these falls were that one made him prouder, while the other made him humble.

If Daedalus had not been so proud of himself, he would still have his son. And this is a lesson to all those proud people out there, who thinks high about themselves. It is good, but to an extend. So, let us not be ‘hubris’ like Daedalus.

The True Essence of Life: Happiness

Once lived a troubled king who wished to unlock the true essence of life. Many tried answering, but none of the responses satisfied the king. He felt the need to consult someone wise: the old saint living in the forest.

It was a long-distance, and the sun was shining brighter than ever. The king had traveled miles to meet the saint. The now dehydrated king looked desperately around for water. Just as he was going to give his hopes up, he found a well nearby and quenched his thirst.

He thanked his stars, and as he was going to continue his journey, something struck his mind. He was happy! Happy because he quenched his thirst. It dawned upon him that the true meaning of life is happiness. What is it exactly?

Some define it as immense satisfaction when something good happens. Some say it’s when you make big, or when you get your desired things. For the rich, it might be when they visit exotic places. For the poor: it might be when they have a shade on them. Happiness is something commonly seek.

Happiness isn’t something that can be defined by words. It’s raw emotion, something that comes from within. It’s common. Everybody experiences it, yet we can’t describe it. Every person defines it in his/her manner. In whatever means you may define it; the truth is that it is vital for a healthy and prosperous life.

Happiness. Such a simple word, isn’t it? Yet something so complicated that millions fail to understand. Finding happiness in this materialistic world is the main reason for this failure. No amount can buy you your happiness, whether be the favorite thing you desire or the person you love the most, or the career you build, unless and until you feel it within yourself.

“If one speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows one, like a shadow that never leaves.” In other words, happiness is a state of mind. It is not something that happens to us, but a deliberate decision to choose happiness day in and day out, regardless of the circumstances.

“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your actions.” – His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Cultivating happiness is an easy task. To be content and happy with whatever you have and yourself takes time and patience. We should try to appreciate the people and things in our lives. At the end of the day, they are the ones who matter the most in our lives.

Cast aside your past, and look forward to a beautiful future. Learn to live today with more happiness than yesterday and forget about your past sadness for a harmonious life. Be grateful for the things you have.

Try to find goodness in every situation, and accept the things that already happened, whether good or bad. Never forget to choose merrier and positive people to be closer to you so that their vibes will also help you in becoming one too.

At times you may feel low, but do not ever forget that you have people who love you. Never hesitate to ask for help. It’s a long journey, but implementing these rules in our lives sure does help! Happiness is not something created, it’s generated.

You saw how a simple thing such as water could please a king who had everything. It wasn’t the water that did the trick, but it was the king who learned to find good in little things. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. We must understand that happiness is nothing more than the state of a person’s mind. Our thoughts channel our emotions. Therefore, we must work on having only positive energy, and this can only be done when we see life in a positive light. There’s always a reason to be happy.

“There is no path to happiness. Happiness is the path.”

Life is a beautiful adventure. Cherish and worship it. Once a moment is gone, it never comes back. Be happy and enjoy your life with your loved ones. Happiness is truly the true essence of life!

Generating Confidence

Reneesa Kumar

Wait a minute, before we go to the depth of this topic. I have one question for you all. Have you ever been to any situation where you feel your confidence was low? Well, their many cases we face like weak in a subject, etc. Now the question arises, what is exactly Confidence? Actually, even I don’t know what is confidence but, in my experience, I think, Confidence is your belief in your ability to figure things out. As you know we need confidence in ourselves so I am going to tell you 5 steps to have more confidence in your life.

  1. Decide You Need No Reason to be more Confident – You don’t need 50 peoples to tell you are amazing or beautiful. You have to just say to yourselves “You know what today we lift my head up a little bit, you know today I’m gonna give myself a little bit of credit. I am just gonna be confident. I am gonna walk into this room and stand tall as if I was an incredibly confident person for no reason.” That’s the power of intention, it’s the power of self – directed human being that we get to choose how we want to feel you could be happy right now for no reason. You don’t need 50 things to make you happy. You have to just sense the moment feel grateful for life.
  2. Integrity – Integrity Being aligned with who you are your values your beliefs and your dreams. For example – Keeping your promises even if it takes extra effort.

3. Competency – A competency is the capability to apply or use a set of related knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform. For example – Teamwork, Responsibility, etc.

4. Momentum – Momentum is the key to Confidence. When we stop having momentum in our life, we often feel lost or confused. For example – Do something tiny every day.

5. Community – You know that we need people around us and who are supportive, positive, and buoyant and who appreciate our sense of aliveness, joy, and happiness in life.

I hope these 5 steps will boost your confidence. “In fact, the confidence of the people is worth more than money.”– Carter G. Woodson. With this, I would like to end my speech. I hope you enjoyed it.

Quantum Computing

So what is Quantum Computing?
Here is the definition: Quantum computing is the use of quantum phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to perform computation. Computers that perform quantum computations are known as quantum computers.
Why is Quantum Computing important?
Quantum computing is said to be more power efficient than modern computing through the use of quantum tunnelling. They are expected to reduce power consumption from 100 to 1000 times. Quantum computers could speed up the learning process of AI, reducing thousands of years of learning to mere seconds.

Now Lets See How It Works
A quantum computer works with particles that can be in superposition. Rather than representing bits such particles would represent qubits, which can take on the value 0, or 1, or both simultaneously.

What does a Quantum Computer do?
A quantum computer encodes information into quantum states and computes by performing quantum operations on it. There are several tasks for which a quantum computer will be useful.
The new goal is to manipulate and control quantum systems so that they behave in a prescribed way. A quantum computer encodes information into quantum states and computes by performing quantum operations on it. There are several tasks for which a quantum computer will be useful.

How does quantum computing exactly work?
Quantum computers perform calculations based on the probability of an object’s state before it is measured instead of just 1s or 0s which means they have the potential to process exponentially more data compared to classical computers. A single state such as on or off, up or down, 1 or 0 – is called a bit.

Who is behind Quantum Computing and where is it found?
In 1998 Isaac Chuang of the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Neil Gershenfeld of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Mark Kubinec of the University of California at Berkeley created the first quantum computer (2-qubit) that could be loaded with data and output a solution.

Can Quantum Computing change the world? Let’s take a look
Quantum computing could change the world. It could transform medicine, break encryption and revolutionise communications and artificial intelligence. Companies like IBM, Microsoft and Google are racing to build reliable quantum computers.

“Quietly endure, silently suffer and patiently wait.”

“Quietly endure, silently suffer and patiently wait.” -Martin Luther King Jr.

These were the words from Martin Luther King Jr., a man with the story of suffering for his country, USA. After years, his hard work and sufferings had meaning and was not futile.

This quote reminds me of an incident where I had to struggle to attain success. Last year, I had to workout for my Black Belt exam. This was 3 months before my exams. Unfortunately, I sprained my foot. I was devastated. My parents comforted me, but I couldn’t believe I sprained my foot, before my exams.

But I didn’t give up that easily. Every day, I would strengthen my foot to stand up and walk. At first, it was dreadful. But, after some days, I got used to this pain. Then I started doing some running, and then some warm-ups. But, I still waited for it to heal. With just a month left for the exams, I felt better, thought it was still paining.

I studied the theoretical part and passed. Then came the physical part. I only had 4 days to learn everything for the exams. I went to my Sensei’s house for further training. At last, the day came.

On 2nd December, 2019, I passed my Black Belt exams with flying colors. I got an ‘A’ ! Everyone was proud of me.

From this incident, I learned 2 things-:

1. NEVER EVER kick near the wall!

2. If I can do this with a sprained foot, I can do almost everything.

You Can Do It!!

Benefits of Time Management

Anytime have you have been given a task to complete, but thy feel that you are running out of time. You look at clock then again do work, again look at clock. Let’s face it,this is majorly due to lack of time management or not doing your things on time. How does time management help you.I will tell 6 points on benefits of time management

Reason#1

It improves your self-discipline Let’s face it, if you have good time management skills, the chances are that you’re highly self-disciplined. You’re the kind of person who stops procrastination dead in its tracks and drives forward to achieve your goals. This self-discipline improves other areas of your life too, from your career to your relationships. In other words, the better you get at time management, the better your self-discipline will be. This will make you more successful at meeting goals in all areas of your life. Before , when I had no idea of time management , I always did my work at last moment some time even got delayed in work and even missed the submission date many times. Got quite marks cut, felt like I had no discipline. Only till when I started applying time management in my life, I made fix routines of work, did a bit of the assignment everyday and on final day of submission, I felt relaxed and more confident.

Reason#2

It improves the quality of your work Having good time management skills doesn’t mean that you pull all-nighters to meet a deadline. It means that you manage your time effectively and space out your work while keeping your regular sleeping routine. According to research, almost half of Americans regularly get insufficient or low-quality sleep and report that this interferes with their daily lives. You need a good night’s sleep if you want to produce quality work; good time management skills will help you get the rest you need. During fourth standard I always got my exam schedule 2 weeks before the start of exam I completely relaxed till eve of the exam. That night I always took out my book first time to get ready for the exam of next day. I woke up till late night. Then, I started using different method . I started studying everyday and at evening before exam I did final revision , I felt relax, confident ,got more sleep ,Overall I felt great for next day.

Reason#3

Winding down is essential Between work, family commitments and running errands, most of us don’t get enough time to relax. If you want to have enough time to unwind, relax and prepare for the following day, good time management skills are essential. You need to know how to organize your work times and your break times to recuperate mentally and physically after a long day’s work. My friend studies a lot, he does many other stuffs like drawing, singing and many more things. He never got time to relax himself ,he used to sit at 9 and get up at 5.He got stressed and irritated, then I suggested him to take 10 mins break after every 2 hours. might be walk in home.He did that and now he feels better then ever eventhough he did not shift his time of 9am to 5pm

Reason#4

It reduces stress Take a few moments to reflect on your day: Do you feel as though you’re always busy, but accomplish little? Is there something that’s been keeping you up at night with worry? Are you unable to complete your work? If you answered “yes” to one or more of those questions, you’re likely feeling stressed. When you don’t feel as though you have control of your time and are always frantically working to meet deadlines, it’s highly likely that your health is suffering. Time management skills can help to reduce or even eliminate stress. Good time management skills will make you more productive, helping you to meet your deadlines and lowering your stress levels.

Reason#5

It opens up new possibilities One of the hidden dangers of poor time management is that it kills your chances of broadening your horizons and trying out new things. If you go through life rushing from one task to the next, you never have the chance to explore different opportunities. With more free time, you may be able to volunteer at a local charity or help someone in need. It’s hard to put a dollar value on these types of tasks but they are innately fulfilling and enriching. My friend, who was quite busy everyday felt sad. He wanted to learn new stuffs, wanted to learn new things but did not have time to he always felt he wanted to learn but lack of time was the reason. But when he arranged or managed his time ,he saw how much time he had left.He started to learn new things in that time
Reason #6
. It helps your personal relationships Good time management skills are essential to having strong and productive relationships. The more free time you have to spend with your friends and family, the better your relationships will be. You’ll make better decisions, have better ideas, and people around you will notice. Stronger personal relationships will enhance all aspects of your life.

Now also do you really feel that you should not manage your time. Which would help you even more. That's up to you I would like to end with a quote “

One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.” – Tony Robbins

Contributions of Albert Einstein

I am sure that every single person who is reading this has heard of Albert Einstein in one way or another. You probably have seen his last name being used as a synonym of genius, smart, or other words to describe someone intelligent. Maybe, you’ve even heard of E=mc² as one of his biggest and most important achievements. But what do all of these things mean? There are way too many people who know about Einstein as a genius, but they don’t know why he’s so famous. There are at least a thousand people alive right now who have a higher IQ than Einstein. Einstein himself considered Niccola Tesla to be smarter than him. The reason Einstien is so famous is because of his contributions to humanity, which I’ll explain in this blog. More specifically, I’ll be explaining his two most important contributions to humanity that affect us every day.

The first, arguably the most important contribution is Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Please note that this is an umbrella term that contains many sub-theories. With that being said, I think the biggest use of this theory is in GPS systems. Einstein discovered that gravity ever-so-slightly slow time down. (think microseconds). One of the components of GPS systems is that satellites need to have an extremely precise idea of time to get the location accurately. The time change by the lack of gravity that satellites experience becomes a big problem now. Luckily that difference is accounted for so we’ll be fine. But if Einstein hadn’t discovered that law, GPS wouldn’t be impossible. Next time you or your parents use GPS, remember that it’s Einstien and his imagination that helped make this possible. And yes, I meant it when I said his imagination. He sat for a while and thought up these theories.

Another big contribution from Einstien was the discovery of the equation E=mc².  I won’t go into the details of the principles behind this equation or even what each of the variables means. I’ll instead go into the effect of this law. The effect of this law is that seemingly small objects contain an enormous amount of energy at an atomic level. Because of this law, a walnut has enough energy to power the entirety of New York City for around 52 days, though tapping that energy is only possible in certain elements as of right now.  The discovery of this is what allowed nuclear power to be invented. The most well-known effect of this is the invention of the nuclear bomb. The world might have been in some kind of war right now if countries weren’t scared about each other’s nukes. But there are other uses to this equation as well, such as nuclear power. France, for example, gets 75% of its electricity from nuclear power plants. Next time you hear about anything nuclear, remember that it’s Einstein who made it possible.

There are definitely more things that Einstein helped to discover. But these two things are by far the two most tangible. Einstein was no doubt a genius. But it’s disrespectful to him to only remember that him as some crazy smart guy. Because he’s one of the most important figures of the 20th century, perhaps even in history. There’s no telling of how this world would be(if it would even exist) without him. Thanks for reading my blog!
