Introduction Speech

Hi, I am Vihaan, I was tossed onto this world in 2011 and landed in U.S.A Denver Colorado, Which makes me 10 now.

As a small kid I liked to play in the snow and with Diecast cars.

One thing that I used to do for fun is a toy truck which holds 39 hotwheel cars in it. I used to sit on it and ride it. It is one thing I have even 10 years down the line.

At that point of time I had only 1 friend, Who lived far away from me so I didn’t visit him that much. Later on I Had more friends.

I Usually go on a trip to India as most of my relative’s live there and now I live in India

My favorite trip was a cruise I went on when I was 4 I hardly remember anything except a monkey made out of cloth and a song they sang to wash our hands called “Washy Washy”

When I went to school I always used to think how big the pickup area is as you can run a marathon over there but not with all the traffic. I studied in that school for 4 years. And 1 year in montessori.

When it was time to move to India and didn’t want to because I lived in the U.S.A for 7 years. I am leaving everything and coming to India. My mom and dad kept telling me in an apartment I would have more friends and I can play more.

I slept most of the flight and I skipped 2 meals.

Later I started making friends just like my mom and dad told me.

My school was just like the one in the U.S.A but I knew most of the stuff in 1st grade so my parents kept me in 2nd!!!!

In a year COVID-19 came and I couldn’t go and play, school etc… But I was still able to meet online but it wasn’t fun. Then I got Minecraft which is good and I am able to have fun playing Minecraft with my friends.

I even completed a whole school year online that too in 5th and I had my graduation yesterday and I am in middle school now!!!!! Today is my first day of the holidays!!

Right now my hobbies are Cubing(Solving a Rubik’s cube), Coding, Playing Tennis and Playing Minecraft

Elon Musk – Our Generation Einstein

I am sure most of you have heard of Albert Einstein. He was a genius and one of the smartest people ever. I will talk about the Einstein of our generation. Elon Musk. Elon Reeve Musk is an entrepreneur and business magnate. He is the founder, CEO, and chief engineer at SpaceX; early-stage investor, CEO, and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI. As a billionaire, Musk is one of the richest people in the world.

He was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, South Africa. He is 49 years old. At age 10, Musk developed an interest in computing while using the Commodore VIC-20. He learned computer programming using a manual and, by age 12, sold the code of a BASIC-based video game he created called Blastar to PC and Office Technology magazine for approximately $500. Which is quite a lot for a kid to earn. An awkward and introverted child, Musk was bullied throughout his childhood and was once hospitalized after a group of boys threw him down a flight of stairs. He attended Waterkloof House Preparatory School and Bryanston High School before graduating from Pretoria Boys High School.

He has a net worth of 157.5 billion USD (2021). He briefly attended the University of Pretoria before moving to Canada aged 17 to attend Queen’s University. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania two years later, where he received bachelor’s degrees in economics and physics. He moved to California in 1995 to attend Stanford University but decided instead to pursue a business career, co-founding the web software company Zip2 with his brother Kimbal. The startup was acquired by Compaq for $307 million in 1999. Musk co-founded the online bank X.com that same year, which merged with Confinity in 2000 to form PayPal. The company was bought by eBay in 2002 for $1.5 billion. In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX, an aerospace manufacturer, and space transport services company, of which he is CEO and CTO. In 2001, Musk became involved with the nonprofit Mars Society. He was inspired by plans to place a growth chamber for plants on Mars and discussed funding the project himself.

In 2004, he joined electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors, Inc. (now Tesla, Inc.) as chairman and product architect, becoming its CEO in 2008. In 2006, he helped create SolarCity, a solar energy services company that was later acquired by Tesla and became Tesla Energy. In 2015, he co-founded OpenAI, a nonprofit research company that promotes friendly artificial intelligence. In 2016, he co-founded Neuralink, a neurotechnology company focused on developing brain-computer interfaces and founded.

The Boring Company, a tunnel construction company. Musk has proposed the Hyperloop, a high-speed vactrain transportation system. In early 2017, they began discussions with regulatory bodies and initiated construction of a 30-foot (9.1 m) wide, 50-foot (15 m) long, and 15-foot (4.6 m) deep “test trench” on the premises of SpaceX’s offices as required no permits. A tunnel beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center was completed in early 2021. Local officials have approved further expansions of the tunnel system. All in all Elon Musk is an inspiring and amazing man who changed the world. He is truly the Einstein of our Generation.

Do Not Judge A Book By Its Cover

The English idiom “don’t judge a book by its cover” is a phrase that means one should not judge the worth or value of something by its appearance alone.
Let me tell you a story:

A Fox one day spied a beautiful bunch of ripe grapes hanging from a vine trained along the branches of a tree. The grapes seemed ready to burst with juice, and the fox’s mouth watered as he gazed longingly at them.
The bunch hung from a high branch, and the Fox had to jump for it. The first time he jumped he missed it by a long way. So he walked off a short distance and took a running leap at it, only to fall short once more. Again and again, he tried but in vain.
Now he sat down and looked at the grapes in disgust.
“What a fool I am,” he said. “Here I am wearing myself out to get a bunch of sour grapes that are not worth gaping for.”
And off he walked very, very scornfully.

This is why we should not judge a book by its cover. If the fox tried a bit more to reach the grapes then he could have gotten them instead he gave up and thought the grapes were sour. If the fox would have tasted them then he could have judged if it was sour or sweet.

Why Recycling should be Compulsory

Do YOU know that the average person generates over 4 pounds of trash every SINGLE day? Another fact is that tourism contributes to more than 5 percent of global greenhouse gas emission.

I believe Recycling should be compulsory for many reasons. It protects the environment, reduces landfills, and saves resources.

Recycling reduces landfills because if you recycle, those materials will not go into the landfill. Landfills are very bad to the overall environment, impacting other essential resources like air, water, and animals. Do you know that It takes 500 years for average-sized plastic water bottles to fully decompose? They can cause toxic chemical’s in our water supply and also causes pollutes the air with methane. Imagine drinking toxic chemicals because of the landfill.

Recycling also protects the environment. Recycling reduces the need for extracting (mining, quarrying, and logging), refining, and processing raw materials all of which create substantial air and water pollution. Habitat destruction and global warming are some of the effects caused by deforestation. Recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved. Huge amounts of energy are used when making products from raw materials. It also saves energy. When you use raw materials you use a lot of energy.

Recycling requires much less energy and therefore helps to preserve natural resources. Do you know that a can of aluminum has a 20x benefit if made from recycled material versus using raw material? Recycling reduces the need to get new raw material resources like wood, metal. It also reduces water and air pollution because we pollute the air trying to get resources and recycling would hugely reduce this. Recycling saves resources like water, wood, coal, and many more.

To conclude, Recycling is a WIN-WIN for everyone. There are no doubts that it saves on resources while helping prevent pollution. We, humans need to evaluate each and every task that we do, with an emphasis on recycling whether you live in a place is or you are a tourist. As the human race is growing, the criticality of this is increasing by the day. !!!

About Me

Hi, I am Neil I came to this planet in the Year 2009, making me 11 years old now.

As a little kid, I was fascinated by dinosaurs. I researched them and my favorite is the t-rex. I still remember having a book in which it would show crazy ways the dinosaur could help you in real life. I also remember that when I was little, before sleeping, my grandma told me Indian mythological stories such as the Ramayan.

As a kid,  I also liked going on vacation to resorts especially with big pools. I am not a big fan of beaches, as I don’t like sand on my skin.

I live in New Jersey in The USA with my parents, grandparents, and a 7-year-old sibling.

I enjoy reading books, I can read books all day 🙂 Some of my favorite book series are Percy Jackson, 39 clues, and  Harry Potter. I also like to write fiction stories about monsters.

I like playing outside. I like most sports but my favorite is soccer.  I also like to bike around my neighborhood.

I also just started to play the violin.

I like pizza, ice cream, and cake. My favorite fruit is mango because it is very sweet.

Last year was an interesting year as we moved to a new neighborhood and a new school.

Like most of you, I also had to switch to online school because of the Coronavirus.

Now about my Summer break. I have to go to online classes instead of going places some of my online classes are coding, Stem Ninja math, and speech. Recently I started playing Minecraft, which is very cool.

The best part of the break was staying at my cousin’s place and playing games. Helped my cousin with his college application and build his  Rube Goldberg project.

I have four best friends and we used to do sleepovers and have playdates now because of coronavirus we cannot. We played many games such as tag and laser tag.

After the summer break, I will have to start middle school online from Woodrow Wilson Middle school. This would be my first year of middle school and I am very excited about that.

I wish for the good old times to return soon. If there was no coronavirus I would not stay in my house 24 7 instead I could be playing with my friends or going on vacation.

Speaking of vacation I like to go on vacation one of my favorite places to vacation in India. Most of my relatives live in India such as my grandparents, aunt, uncle, and lots and lots of cousins.
